The climbing wall/treadmill comprises long panels (11), each with a number of holes. Reinforcing parts (12) have fastener elements (16) corresponding to the number of holes in the panels. Each panel also has additional holes for additional fastener elements, which also correspond to extra holes in the reinforcing parts. The panels are fastened to the reinforcing parts and a flexible part (13) e.g. a chain, to form a vertical grouping. The panel group has a brake device to control and/or regulate the vertical movement of the panel group.
