Steam generator burner for brown coal

The burner has a first comminuter (8) to reduce the damp raw coal and a drier-cooler (10,14) operating on the coal below its self ignition temperature. A second drier-cooler (18) forms the coal into grains for pneumatic transport in a conveyor feed gas stream. There is a feed guide (287) connecting the second drier-cooler with a cyclone separator. A return duct (33) returns from the cyclone to the second separator and forms a feed gas circuit (21) with the feed duct (27). An injector (26) guides cooled fresh air into the feed gas circuit to maintain the circuit below the self ignition temperature of the coal.
