The arrangement monitors a section of track with transmitter and receiver devices which interact via the rails of the track section and which are connected to tuned parallel resonance circuits. Each parallel resonance circuit has a coil laid in the track and connected or coupled to the rails or consisting of the rails and the short-circuit connections made between the rails to bound the track sections. Connection leads (AS1,AS2) for the measurement mechanism of each track section are connected to the rails (S1,S2) very close to the short circuit connections (K).
