<p>A novel therapy for immunosuppression utilizes an immunotoxin to destroy the entire population of allograft reactive T cells during or after a tissue transplant procedure, followed by natural reconstitution of a tolerized T cell population. The therapy leads to permanent tolerance of the allograft thereby obviating the need for maintenance immunosuppressive drug therapy.</p> |
