Motor vehicle seat adjustable in length and swivelable as whole unit

The motor vehicle seat has a movement guide supported at the vehicle floor, which runs raised section parallel rails. Each longitudinal side of the seat contains two rigid supports running on these rails. Front end regions attaining the swivel movement in a forward direction drop in a height measurement emanating from the height maxima (5). The seat is designed so that at each longitudinal side of the seat (2) only one rail (4) is provided common to this longitudinal side of the two supports (8,9). The front end region (6) emanates from the height maxima (5), in their length are dimensioned approximately the same as the longitudinal distance of the supports (8,9), located at the same seat side. Whilst the length of the rear rail region, connected in the other direction is selected, taking into consideration the desired longitudinal adjusting section of the seat (2).
