PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical waveguide circuit with a phase adjusting plate adjusting an optical path length error occurring at the time of manufacturing a planar optical circuit with additional processing performed after manufacturing by providing a groove traversing all of plural optical waveguides and installing the plate adjusting the optical characteristic of the optical waveguide on its groove. SOLUTION: This optical waveguide circuit is constituted of a groove 16 traversing plural waveguides 14-1, 14-2, a plate (optical characteristic adjusting plate) 17 spatially changing the optical characteristic in advance so as to correct the optical characteristic of a part intersecting with the optical waveguide 14 when the groove 16 is inserted and an adhesive fixing the optical characteristic adjusting plate 17 to the groove 16. In this optical waveguide circuit, the optical characteristics of the light propagating through the waveguide 14-1, 14-2 are changed in accordance with the optical characteristic of the optical characteristic adjusting plate 17 of the intersecting parts with the waveguides 14-1, 14-2. Thus, the optical characteristics of the waveguides 14-1, 14-2 are measured and thereafter, the optical characteristic adjusting plate 17 is fixed to the groove 16 by using the adhesive to adjust the optical characteristics of the waveguides 14-1, 14-2 to required values. |
