PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To operate an air conditioner efficiently, according to the load condition, by deciding the quantity of operation of a compressor so that the detected pressure may conform to the set pressure, and changing the operation frequency. SOLUTION: An operation frequency detector 24 detects the operation frequency, and a suction-pressure-at-cooling sensor 22 detects the suction pressure, and a discharge- pressure-at-heating sensor 21 detects the discharge pressure, and a set pressure deciding means 25 decides the set pressure at conditioning. Next, the quantity of operation of the operation frequency of a compressor 1 is decided so as to conform the detected pressure of the pressure sensors 21 and 22 to the set pressure with a quantity-of- operation-of-compressor deciding means 26. Then, a waiting control means 27 changes the frequency to the operation frequency being decided with the upper limit frequency or the lower limit frequency as the limit, with each set pressure by a first compressor control means 23 in case that it is not in waiting. Moreover, in case that it is in waiting, a pressure difference computing means 29 computes the difference between the detection pressure of the pressure sensors 21 and 22 and each set pressure. In case that this pressure difference is over the preset pressure difference, the frequency is changed to the operation frequency being decided by the second compressor control means 30. |
