PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To conduct dialing of facsimile communication continuously without being limited to a preset dialing number in the case that dialing is stopped because an opposite terminal is busy due to making a speech with other party in the facsimile communication state. SOLUTION: The communication equipment is provided with a counter 14 that counts a dial number being a preset dialing number, a busy tone detection circuit 10 that detects whether or not an opposite terminal is available, and a control circuit 9 that controls the counter 14 when the busy tone detection circuit 10 detects a busy tone. That is, in the case that the communication equipment cannot be connected to the opposite terminal of facsimile communication due to a busy state such as making a speech with other party, the dialing for the facsimile communication is continued till the busy state of the opposite terminal is released without being limited to a set dialing number.
