PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low cost waveguide type attenuator and its manufacturing method by which deterioration or microwave characteristics is prevented and an optional attenuation is obtained and to realize its manufacture. SOLUTION: A prescribed amount of an adhesive radio wave absorbing body 2, obtained by mixing a micropariculate radio wave absorbing material and an adhesive, is coated on a required face of an inner wall of a waveguide 1 of this attenuator. Furthermore, its manufacturing process consists of a process where the adhesive radio wave absorbing body 2 is produced by mixing a microparticulated radio wave absorbing material and a 1st adhesive, a process where the microparticulated radio wave absorbing body is mixed with a 2nd adhesive, and a process where the microparticulated radio wave absorbing body is coated onto an inner wall of the waveguide at a place with a thickness to obtain a required attenuation and microwave characteristic before the 2nd adhesive is cured. |
