Treating solid material comprises applying at least a gas stream on at least a micro dispersion of at least a grafting reagent produced on the material - DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Method for treating solid material whose chemical structure defines the reactive protogenous hydrophilic functions accessible to gases in view of the covalent grafting of hydrophobic groups on said hydrophilic functions comprises: (a) selecting at least a grafting agent, RX, in which R is a hydrophobic group adapted to be liquid at temperature of at least 200 deg.
