The invention concerns a movable saw with a frame 1 and a saw blade 3 directed effectively vertically upwards in relation to the said frame, the sawing line of which blade on both sides of it has tables 2 moving back and forth, operating in conjunction with and parallel to the saw blade 3 on frame 1, whereby the tables 2 move along a course which has friction-reducing devices by which the tables 2 can move back and forth past the saw blade 3 in the direction of the sawing line. According to the invention, fixed slide surfaces 5 serve as the friction- reducing devices, which slide surfaces could take the form of slide-rails or slide pieces arranged one after the other in the direction of the tables' movement course. <IMAGE>
