PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wiper control method which can prevent the breaking of a wiper by an erroneous operation of the wiper when a vehicle is set to a car washing machine while learing the wiper operation in an AUTO mode, and in which the wiper can operate automatically without generating a trouble in the actual running condition. SOLUTION: This wiper control method of an auto-wiper system automatically controls the wiper operation of a vehicle by perceiving the meteorological condition by a rain drop sensor 7, and the using condition of the door mirror of a vehicle is detected by a mirror housing detecting switch 5. When the door mirror is housed, the wiper operation control by the auto-wiper system is stopped, and the wiper is not operated even though the rain drop sensor 7 detects the water drops.
