The present invention relates to a method for producing a metallocene, whereby an initial ligand compound is reacted with an adduct of formula (I) M<1>XnDa, wherein M<1> is a metal of group 3, 4, 5 or 6 of the periodic system of elements (PSE) or an element from the group of lanthanides or actinides, preferably titanium, zirconium or hafnium, more particularly zirconium; X is identical or different and means halogen, C1-C10 alcoxy, C6-C10 aryloxy, C1-C10 alkyl sulfonate such as mesylate, triflate, nonaflate, C6-C10 arylsulfonate such as toyslate, benzosulfonate, C1-C10 alkylcarbonate such as acetate, formiate, oxalate or 1.3 dicarbonylate such as acetylacetonate or fluorinated 1.3 dicarbonylate, especially chlorine, bromium, more particularly chlorine; n is a whole number and is equal to 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6 and corresponds to the oxidation number of metal M1; a is a whole number or fractional number and 0<a</=4 and a is located preferably between 0.5 and 2.5 and is especially 1, 1.5 or 2; and D represents a linea , cyclic or branched oligo or polyether containing at least two oxygen atoms or an oligo or polythioether containing at least two sulphur atoms.
