PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a resin composition excellent in electric insulation properties, fluidity of the resin when molding, and resonance characteristics, and useful for a precision machine member such as an optical pickup for an optical disc device by including a liquid crystal polymer and an aluminum borate whisker in a specific proportion. SOLUTION: This resin composition comprises (A) a liquid crystal polymer such as a polyester comprising the combination of an aromatic dicarboxylic acid, an aromatic diol, and an aromatic hydroxycarboxylic acid, and called as a thermotropic liquid crystal polymer, and (B) an aluminum borate whisker such as 9Al2 O3 .2B2 O3 in a proportion of 100 pts.wt. component A to 40-400 pts.wt. component B. The component B having 0.05-5μm fiber diameter and 2-100μm fiber length is suitable. The composition is useful for a precision machine member such as an inkjet nozzle of a printer.
