PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable high speed communication by using pluralities of slots to transmit/receive a voice signal, executing pluralities of numbers of call connection procedures to set up pluralities of radio channels and transmitting/receiving data while being divided into each channel. SOLUTION: In the case of a call from a slave set, a control section 22 uses a control channel for a control signal to execute a communication control procedure for call connection by the operation of an operation section 21 and requests assignment of a 1st channel. Then, the master set is informed of the use of pluralities of slots by designating a specific number as an incoming call number and the connection of a 1st communication channel is finished by a reply signal. The similar call connection procedure is executed and a number of an opposite party for communication is designated as an incoming call number to terminate the connection of a 2nd communication channel. By a data multiplexer/demultiplexer section 25, the coded data is separated into a 32 kbps signal and transmitted while being divided into two communication channels.
