<p>A modular plug electrical connector for terminating a plurality of wires (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8) which are associated as signal pairs in a communications system includes a dielectric housing (12) having a cavity (16) and a load bar (20) which is mountable in the cavity. The load bar has opposite major surfaces (22, 23) with plural grooves (26, 27, 28, 29) in the major surfaces. Each of the grooves is configured to receive one of the wires (3, 4, 5, 6). The grooves are arranged at respective spaced apart locations which are selected to enable compensating crosstalk in the connector, thereby reducing overall crosstalk in the connector and in the system.</p> |
