<p>A combination seat and carrying case (1) having a back support member (2) and a leg support member (4) that are pivotally connected together and adapted to rotate towards and away from one another between closed and open configurations where the seat and carrying case (1) is used as a carrying case or a seat. Coupling cylinders (64) are located through axially aligned holes (18 and 36) formed in oppositely facing ears (16 and 34) that project from the sides (8 and 30) of the back and leg support members (2 and 4). The coupling cylinders (64) are interconnected with respective pairs of upper and lower coupling arms (44 and 46) which are connected between the back and leg support members (2 and 4) so as to rotate towards and away from one another with the back and leg support members (2 and 4). A locking tab (12) or a locking strap (102) holds the back and leg support members (2 and 4) together when they are rotated towards one another to the closed configuration and the seat and carrying case (1) is used as a carrying case.</p> |
