PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce ripples in a current flowing from a power supply to a switched capacitor circuit, by driving a first group of switches and a second group of switches out of phase. SOLUTION: Driving signalsϕ1 ,ϕ2 ,ϕ3 which drive switches S11...S32 for connecting a charge transfer capacitor Ce1 are brought to high state in the order ofϕ1 toϕ2 toϕ1 toϕ3 , and clock signalsϕ4 ,ϕ5 ,ϕ6 for selectively connecting a charge transfer capacitor Ce2 are brought to high state in the order ofϕ4 toϕ5 toϕ4 toϕ6 . The clock signalsϕ1 ,ϕ2 ,ϕ3 and the clock signalϕ4 ,ϕ5 ,ϕ6 are out of phase by 1/4 cycles. The clock signalsϕ1 ,ϕ4 connected to a capacitor C1 are alternately brought to high state, and timing with which the capacitors Ce1 , Ce2 for charge transfer are connected to capacitors C2 , C3 is alternately produced. The ripples in a current flowing from input terminals T1-T1 direct to the group of the connected capacitors are smoothed by setting such timing of clock signals. As a result, the ripple component in a current flowing in from a power supply can be reduced.
