PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate operation of specifying a desired image pickup device in a system enabling visual confirmation of road conditions transmitted from image pickup device, by selecting an image pickup device in advance on the basis of a searched route, and displaying location of placement of the image pickup device together with the route. SOLUTION: A navigation device constitutes a traffic image information communication system together with the side of a base station to gather images of road conditions picked up by each camera. Then when a user specifies, for example, a destination B, route searching is performed on the basis of a predetermined algorithm, and a map displaying a searched route 31 including a starting point A and the destination B by a predetermined method is displayed in a display. Cameras (t), (s), (m), and (h) along the route 31 are, for example, automatically selected and displayed on a screen. By specifying a desired camera among them and selecting a picked-up image fetching key 32, image requesting data to request images picked up by the camera is transmitted. By this, response data is transmitted from the base station, and picked-up images are displayed in the display. |
