PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent noise occurrence and to improve magnetic efficiency by changing the flank angle of a converging part arriving at a yoke part from a pole part constituting a magnetic pole from a large to small angle to suppress the generation of a 90 deg. magnetic wall. SOLUTION: A plating base for magnetic pole layer formation is formed via an insulation layer on a coil layer constituting a magnetic head. A resist is applied thereon and the resist of the magnetic layer forming parts consisting of the yoke part 1, the converging part 2 and the pole part 3 is removed by pattern exposure and development stages, by which resist patterns are obtd. In such a case, the resist patterns of the shape changed in multiple stages or continuously in such a manner that the flank angleθ1 of the region of the converging part 2 on the pole part 3 side is large and the flank angleθ2 of the region on the yoke part 1 side is small. Electroplating is applied on the plating base of the regions where the resist patterns are removed, by which the magnetic pole consisting of the yoke part 1, the converging part 2 and the pole part 3 is formed and thereafter, the resist is removed.
