PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the transfer of signals between a dedicated processor and a generalμP and lighten the load on the generalμP, and to speed up processing by employing a multiprocessor system consisting of two processors and executing relatively complicated POL instructions by the dedicated processor. SOLUTION: Instruction execution control parts EXE(2-8) and DEXE(2-20) are mounted on the dedicated processor shown on the whole; and EXE execute simple POL instructions and DEXE execute relatively complicated POL instructions. Then a POL emulator mounted on the generalμP connected to an interface MPIF(2-1) executes POL instructions other than the POL instructions executed by the EXE and DEXE and manages the entirety including EXE, DEXE, etc.
