PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display panel having excellent contrast and constant luminance. SOLUTION: A light reflecting layer 10 or a light absorbing layer for restraining the reflection of the external light is provided in a back surface side of a phosphor layer 9 so that the light emitted from the phosphor layer 9 to a visible side outgoes as the display light, and a plasma display panel having excellent contrast and constant luminance is provided by restraining the reflectance in the phosphor layer 9 among the reflection of the external light as a cause of lowering of contrast to 25% or less. |
