<p>A multifunction switch assembly includes a primary and a secondary detent system for a contactor carrier. The multifunction switch assembly generally comprises a rotatable knob mounted on an outer end of a handle. The knob includes said primary detent system and rotatably drives a shaft extending toward an inner end of the handle. A contactor carrier (40) is linearly driven by a gear (36) on the inner end of the shaft: the electrical contactor includes an indexing arm (80) which is biased against a plurality of detents (100) formed on a base, said arm (80) and said detents (100) providing said secondary detent system.</p> |
