PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device which never spoils detailed representation by actualizing the smooth movement of a viewpoint by performing projecting and rendering processes in a three-dimensional space in consideration of the movement and speed of the viewpoint. SOLUTION: The stereoscopic display device specifies a range which will not be displayed on a display surface within a certain time and a range which will not be displayed within a time longer than the certain time according to the moving speed of the viewpoint obtained from a viewpoint-directional speed confirming means. To project three-dimensional virtual spaces of the ranges on a two-dimensional plane, the device is equipped with a range setting means 11 which divides the two-dimensional display surface into >=2 ranges, a rendering process selecting means 16 which selects different rendering processes by the divided ranges of the >=2 two-dimensional display surface divided by the range setting means, rendering processing means 13 to 15 which performs the rendering processes selected by the rendering process selecting means, and image storage means 18 and 19 which store the results of the rendering processing means. |
