PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance both the rotational drive performance and the positioning performance of a stepping motor. SOLUTION: Based on speed command information delivered from a speed command setting means 15 to an exciting mode switching means 14, an excitation system corresponding to the rotational speed is selected from a control table in a memory means 13, in order to rotary drive stepping motors 4, 5 by an exciting system corresponding to the rotational speed. Switching can be made appropriately as required, between fine operation and rough operation by varying the step angle per 1 pulse and silence and stability of driving are enhanced along with positioning accuracy by selecting a fine microstep exciting system at the time of low speed rotation. |
