PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a facsimile equipment with which a transmission source telephone number reported from a line is registered as the transmission destination and is effectively utilized. SOLUTION: When an incoming signal is received, a facsimile equipment 1 acquires and temporarily stores the transmission source telephone number reported from the line through a primary response by a call originating telephone number notice service, facsimile communication is started, and a transmission source name transmitted from the facsimile equipment of an opposite is acquired and temporarily stored. When an incoming call is not a polling transmission request, image information is received, and when facsimile reception is finished, corresponding to selection, the acquired transmission source telephone number of name is registered in a RAM 4. When the transfer destination is registered is the RAM 4, information is transferred to that transfer destination. If the incoming call is the polling transmission request, the image information in the image memory is read, polling transmission is performed to the party registered on the polling destination storage area of the RAM 4 and corresponding to selection, the acquired transmission source telephone number is registered in the polling destination storage area of the RAM 4 as the member of a polling group related to the transmitted image information.
