A rotating circular plate (7) blocks part of the flow of particles entering one or more bulges (4) in the pipe, and also contains a hole (8) to allow some of the particles to pass through it. As the plate rotates it discharges some particles through an outlet hole in the side of the pipe, where they are collected in bags hung from loops beneath the hole.
