FIELD: wood-processing industry. SUBSTANCE: debarking machine has line of rotating members, from 1-st to nth, which are connected in series, or a number of lines of rotating members connected in series from wood supply side to wood discharge side. Each rotating member has debarking members fixed on its outer surface. First rotating member is inclined downward from wood supply side to wood discharge side. Rotating members from 2-nd to nth are mounted in horizontal position or inclined downward from wood supply side to wood discharge side. Inclination angle of first rotating member is greater than that of nth rotating member. Angles of inclination of rotating members beginning from 2-nd to (n-1)th are within the range of from angle equal to or exceeding that of nth rotating member to angle equal to or less than that of 1-st rotating member. Inclination angle of each rotating member is equal to or exceeding that of adjacent rotating member positioned at wood discharge side. Such construction allows accumulation of wood at wood supply side to be prevented and volume of wood on wood discharge side to be decreased and consequently volume of wood per unit of length to be leveled. EFFECT: increased efficiency by uniform rotating motion of wood and improved quality of debarked wood by reduced damage to it. 10 cl, 12 dwg
