The hygroscopic material is charged with water and consists of silica gel, silicon acid, alumosilicate and/or zeolite, particularly the latter. The support body is of ceramic, particularly ceramic on a silicate base. It has the form of a disc, which on its face surfaces has grid-shaped hole patterns, with channels extending through it. The channels are regularly arranged. The layer thickness of the hygroscopic material amounts to 1 micrometre to 1 millimetre. The support body has several layers of hygroscopic material. It can be coated with a suspension of hygroscopic material, dried after the formation of the required layer thickness and charged with water.
