PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject felt, inexpensive, excellent in resistance to heat and most suitable for pads or the like by including basalt fibers as the major ingredient, which is mixed with inorganic fibers or the like resistant to flexing and wear. SOLUTION: This felt contains (A) basalt fibers as the major ingredient, preferably at 90 to 30 wt.%, mixed with (B) at least one type of inorganic, metallic and heat-resistant organic fibers preferably at 10 to 70 wt.%. The mixed fibers are felted into a sheet, tube, belt or the like for supporting or receiving products. |
