Hydrodynamic mechanical compound transmission for vehicles

The transmission has a hydrodynamic retarder (25) with stator (26) and rotor blade wheel (27). The retarder is integrated in the transmission housing (1) and is positioned in front of output (A) of the mechanical transmission part (4). The rotor blade wheel may be coupled to the output shaft (9) of the transmission part. The retarder functions as a secondary retarder and is located in the transmission in front of the downstream stage (6), and in front of or behind the mechanical speed/torque converter (5).
