PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration restraining structure for a towery structure capable of showing a beautiful view and effectively restraining vibration. SOLUTION: A wind transmitting material 3 is provided on the outer periphery near the top of a tower construction 1, and a number of wind passing holes 4 are provided in the wind transmitting material 3. Accordingly, damping effect with the viscosity of an air is used to effectively damp vibration with wind, or vibration resulting from Karnan vortex generated in the tower construction 1, without marring a beautiful view. Damping effect on other phenomena than the vibration resulting from the Karman vortex, for example, vibration resulting from earthquake, is shown. Since a proper area parameter P1 and sufficiencyϕ1 for vibration of magnitude estimated depending on an installation site can be set, the whole towery structure can be formed in consideration of a beautiful view.
