PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To hold a distance between a mouthpiece unit and a casting surface by providing a unit for detecting a distance between the mouthpiece unit and the surface at least at one of the mouthpiece unit and a film closely adhering unit. SOLUTION: A distance sensor is provided at least one of a mouthpiece unit 1 and a film closely adhering unit. Here, overcurrent type noncontact distance sensors 4, 5, 6, and 7 each for detecting a distance (distance between paired casing surfaces) between a suction unit 2 and the casting surface are mounted at four corner outside faces of the unit 2 of the film closely adhering unit. Their measured results are sent to a controller 12. The controller 12 compares fed information with a set value regarding the distance between the previously set paired casting surfaces to detect their difference. If the difference falls within a range to be corrected, distance correction information is input to elevators 8, 9, which operate to raise or lower the unit 1. Thus, the distance between the paired casting surface can be maintained and controlled at a desired value. |
