<p>An information processor includes a memory, a central processing unit, and a first storage medium, such as a hard disk. After a migration processing for transferring a file stored in the first storage medium to a second storage medium, such as a large storage capacity magnetic tape, provided outside the information processor, an information file containing access information on access to the file is created on the first storage medium to open the data area of the file. When the information processor makes an access to the migrated file, information acquiring means reads the access information from the information file, file opening means opens the transferred file stored on the second storage medium according to the access information, reading means reads data from the opened file, and read data is stored in a memory area allocated to the information processor not through the first storage medium.</p> |
