MECHANICAL LOCKING BODY FOR WHEEL COVER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To mechanically mount a wheel cover on a wheel regardless of the direction of the wheel by mounting the cover on the hub receiving end of the wheel by a hub locking body, and mounting a rim locking body on the wheel outer rim of the cover. SOLUTION: A wheel or cover 14 is extended on a spider 30. The cover 14 has an inside part arranged adjacent to a hub receiving end 26, an outside part 36 arranged adjacent to an outer rim 28, and a protruding part 38 arranged on the inside part 34 of the cover 14. The protruding part 38 is energized into the channel 32 of a vehicle wheel 12 by a spring, and it also provides a mechanical locking body for the cover 14 to be mounted on the vehicle wheel 12 to the inside part 34 of the cover 14. The protruding part 38 consists of a hub lock or hub locking body to be mounted on the hub receiving part or end part 26 of the vehicle wheel 12. The cover 14 is extended radially inward to cover the hub part.
