PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a topical application composition having water-resistance and extremely preferable application feeling and giving a coating film having very high retaining power. SOLUTION: This composition applicable to a keratinous material contains a liquid fat phase and an active amount of at least one kind of copolymer soluble or dispersible in the liquid fat phase. The copolymer is a crystalline olefin copolymer having a crystallinity of <=50%, preferably 5-40%, more preferably 10-35%.
