PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently obtain peptide lipid fine fibers useful for biocompatible materials, etc., in a high yield by dissolving a specific two-headed peptide lipid in the aqueous solution of an alkali metal hydroxide and subsequently leaving still the solution under specific conditions. SOLUTION: The peptide lipid fine fibers having a length of severalμm and a diameter of several ten nm are obtained by dissolving a two-headed peptide lipid of the formula [(m) is 1-3; (n) is 6-18] in the aqueous solution of an alkali metal hydroxide such as lithium hydroxide, sodium hydroxide or potassium hydroxide to produce the aqueous two-headed peptide lipid alkali metal salt solution (concentration is preferably 5-20 mmol/L) and subsequently leaving still the aqueous solution under the saturated vapor pressure of a 1-5 wt.% aqueous acid solution such as the aqueous solution of acetic acid, dichloroacetic acid, formic acid or carbonic acid. It is preferable that the valine units in the formula have the same stereoisomeric structure as that of L-isomer of D-isomer.
