PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To establish a processing method to produce an excellently finished surface of 3μm Ry or less by improving the cutting edges of an end mill and enabling high efficiency machining of a work having a plane and a slope tied to the plane continuously. SOLUTION: A processing method includes a plurality of arc-shaped cutting edges formed from a solid superhard alloy or thermet and uses an end mill having a dint at the axis bottom. Machining is made continuously from a plane to a slope tied continuously to the plane, or vice versa, so that a surface roughness of 3μm Ry or less is obtained.
