PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera provided with a tripod attaching part and further, reduced in size by providing the tripod attaching part without increasing the size of the camera. SOLUTION: The camera includes a camera main body pad 11 and a cylindrical slide cover 30 provided with a bottom and slidably fitted to the camera main body part 11 outside. The slide cover 30 slides between a nonphotographing position where the inside surface of the cover 30 is adjacent to the camera main body part 11 and a photographing position where a fixed space is made between at least a part of the inside surface of the cover 30 and the camera main body part 11. The tripod attaching part 40 whose bottom wall is opened outside and which is provided with a female screw part engaged with the male screw part of a tripod is fixed on the inside surface of the bottom wall 31 of the slide cover 30. The tripod attaching part 40 is stored in a housing chamber 12 provided in the bottom part of the camera main body part, when the cover 30 is in the nonphotographing position and moves into the fixed space, linked with the movement of the cover 30 to the photographing position, when the cover 30 is moved thereto.
