The material (501) for the front side of the article (514) has at least one piece (507) of liquid-permeable, hydrophilic material joined to it to cover an opening (506) in the front side material. Barriers (508-511) around the opening have hydrophobic outside surfaces (513a, 513b) facing in the opposite direction to the opening. A front side material having a first side for contact with the skin and a second side designed to face an absorbent core in a disposible hygiene article comprises a hydrophobic material with edge sections (505) surrounding at least one opening. At least one piece of liquid-permeable, hydrophilic material is secured via binding points to these edge sections so that it covers the opening and forms a liquid inlet in the front side material. The arrangement of the binding points creates barrier sections on the front side, which at least partially surround the opening. The insides (512a, 512b) of the barrier sections face in the opening direction, and the outsides are essentially hydrophobic. Independent claims are also included for (a) a method of preparing the laminate, and (b) the disposible hygiene article. |
