The heat exchanger carries gases in same-direction flow or counterflow through channels. Individual plates (1) are formed into plate pairs (P). The inflow and outflow cross sections of each flow channel are diagonal to each other. The individual plates are connected to form the pairs by their own spacers (33) in the form of separate knobs.
