PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the proximal end of a prosthesis stem to be centralized by forming a plurality of protrusions which are in contact with the inner wall of a bone cavity and can guide the proximal position of the stem thereinto. SOLUTION: This thigh bone prosthesis 1 includes a stem 2 to fix the prosthesis 1 by cement into a bone cavity 4 of the thigh bone 5 of a patient. A number of protrusions 7, for instance about four, are formed in a ring shape around the prosthesis stem 2 at the proximal end 6 of the stem 2. The section of the stem 2 is formed, for instance, in a rectangle and the protrusions 7 are formed on faces thereof. The protrusions 7 are formed in a flat tear-drop shape and fixed by a thin layer 9 of an adhesive. The outer faces of the protrusions 7 are in contact with the inner face of the bone cavity 4 to set dimensions so as to guide the tip end 6 of the stem 2 thereinto. Removable cement has the adhesive force to hold the protrusions 7 on suitable points until the prosthesis is tightly adhered to the inner wall of the bone cavity when the prosthesis is inserted into. thus the stem 2 can be centralized in the bone cavity.
