PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively reduce squeak caused in braking a disk brake, not only in forward braking but also in reverse braking. SOLUTION: A pad 1, in which ear parts 10 on both ends of a back plate are engaged with guide slots 9 provided on guide portions 3 of a torque member 2, is resiliently urged by elastic arms 12 from the inner peripheral side toward the outer peripheral side on the disk turn-in side, and from the outer peripheral side toward the inner peripheral side on the disk turn-out side. A torque receiving part 3a on the disk turn-out side is arranged on the side of the center of the disk with respect to line L which extends in, the direction of the tangent of the disk through the center of a brake cylinder, and a torque receiving part 3a on the disk turn-in side is arranged on the outer peripheral side of the disk with respect to the line L. Accordingly, rotational moment in the counterclockwise direction for offsetting rotational moment in the clockwise direction is generated by braking force in reverse braking.
