The H-shaped supporting frame (14) consists of a pair of longitudinal rails (16,17) inbuilt or screwed to the edge of the deck opening (20) and a releasably joined cross-strut (18) to project both sides by more than two rail intervals. Fixed to the strut at less than half strut length from the strut center are the bearings (26) for the daggerboards (28) and floats (32) are fixed releasably crossways to the ends of the strut (18). The floats comprize tubes closed by cap inserts, the leading cap to be conical and the strut ends are supplemented by load-spreading plates (3) which extend outwards and are fixed to the respective floats at two spaced points. The floats preferably adjust in height on the strut (18) and in its center each float has two radially longitudinal channels which are spaced out lengthways and sealed sleeves on the floats take threaded bolts which are screwed to an adapter itself fixed at each end of the strut (18).
