摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for controlling the temperature in a very small area in a fluid. SOLUTION: A particulate 11 inside a container 13 is irradiated with a light, which is generated by a light source 16 for fluorescent observation through a band pass filter 151, dichroic mirror 18 and objective lens 15. A fluorescent coloring matter added to the particulate 11 is emitted and the fluorescence passes through the objective lens 15, a mirror 111 and an emission filter 112 and reaches a detector 113. The temperature of a fluid held in the container 13 is kept constant by a container heat insulating part 115. The particulate 11 having the absorption of infrared light is irradiated with infrared light generated by an infrared laser light source 17. The particulate 11 absorbs the infrared light and generates heat so that the temperature near the particulate 11 is elevated. The strength of the fluorescence is decreased by a thermal dimming effect and the temperature near the particulate 11 can be measured. A computer 114 performs feedback control to the output of the laser light source 17 and controls the temperature near the particulate 17. Temperature control can be performed for locally performing a biological reaction such as PCR in the order ofμm.
