PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a treating agent useful for the mitigation of pain of cervical vertebral sprain and preventing the prolonged duration of the pain by making the treating agent include an aminoalkoxybibenzyl compound as an active component. SOLUTION: A compound of formula I R1 is H, a halogen or the like; R2 is H, a 1-5C alkoxy or the like; R3 is H, hydroxyl or the like; R4 is a group of formula N(R5)(R6) (R5 and R6 are each H or a 1-8C alkyl) or formula II [A is a (substituted) 3-5C alkylene]; (m) is 0-5}, e.g. (±)-1- o-[2-(m- methoxyphenyl)ethyl]phenoxy}-3-(dimethylamino)-2-propyl hydrogen succinate hydrochloride of formula III (the general name is salpogrelate hydrochloride) is used as an active component. The daily administration rate of the agent for adult is preferably 0.5-50 mg/kg in terms of the active component by oral administration.
