PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform accurate measurement of a combustion temperature. SOLUTION: Air-permeable heat storage material layers 5A and 5B are respectively arranged at a plurality of gas outlet parts and gas inlet parts from and to a combustion chamber 6. Treated gas G fed to a combustion chamber 6 at a subsequent process is caused to pass through the heat storage layer, storing heat through the passage of high temperature treated gas G' fed from the combustion chamber 6 at a preceding process, of the heat storage layers 5A and 5B and the heat storage material layer is used to preheat the treated gas G. In this form, the heat storage material layer through which the treated gas G to the combustion chamber is caused to pass and the heat storage material layer through which the treated gas G' from a combustion chamber 6 passes are switched, in order. In a so formed heat storage combustion type gas treating layer, temperature sensors 8A and 8B for measuring a combustion temperature are arranged in a state to be embedded in the heat storage material layers 5A and 5B.
