PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a damper for speaker where manufacture is facilitated with excellent tracking performance and suitable for a thin profile of the speaker and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: In a speaker damper where a tinsel wire is mounted on one face (a) of a damper body 1A with a plurality of concentric corrugations 2 obtd. by thermally forming a cloth base, along the shape of the corrugations 2 in the direction tying an outer circumferential end 3 and an inner circumferential end 4 of the damper body 1A, round braid tinsel wire 5 is adopted for the tinsel wire and the tinsel wire is integrated by thermal melting of a strip polyurethane 6 provided between the damper body 1A and the round braid tinsel wire 5.
