PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To continue reception even when print output is disabled or in other cases and to eliminate inconvenience caused on the user side of a transfer destination or a transmission source. SOLUTION: Image information received when a recording output at a recording section 5 is disabled is stored in a storage section 2. At the end of receiving the image information, a message consisting of the image information denoting that transmission data are transfer data is extracted from a message area 23 and a code generating section converts the message into image information. Then the message is added to the image information stored when the print- output is disabled and the resultant information is transferred to the facsimile equipment at the transfer destination registered in advance.
