SOUND ABSORBENT COMPONENT WITH ACOUSTIC RESONATORS

The sound absorption component has thin side walls (4) of adjacent chambers (14) form juxtaposed partitions and or partitions for more than one chamber. The chambers with the partitions are assembled in a system of compartmentalised chambers. The partitions are produced from deep-drawn film (3) and are double walled. The bases (13) of the chambers face the impact of the sound and act as thin membranes. The exterior of the bases are covered with a sound-absorbent and or heat-repellent layer (12). Between the base and the foam or fleece layer is a reinforcement mat (15) of thermoplastically bonded fibres.
